Guest guest
I think I'm gonna make it now! The Acres event for me is like my birthday, christmas and 4th of July all together. It helps me make it through the year to see all my friends, get inspired and get recharged to go out and fight the good fight! This year.....IT WORKED! I was (and remain) sleep deprived, dragging my rear end, never did get our trade show booth set up (much less manned!), never had a meal, didn't get to see the trade show or buy books, and didn't get to talk to 3/4 of the people I wanted to, but still, it was a CARNIVAL of fun, hugs and good will. The #1 thing I noticed about the event was the BRIGHT EYES and OPEN HEARTS of the attendees. In fact, you didn't need to see the nametags to recognize who was Acres and who was in the hotel attending other events. One night there was another group doing a wine-tasting event and, by comparison (and I hate to say this) but everyone there looked pasty, sickly, scared and lonely. Acres people, by and large, came to share, learn, hug, and recharge. It was a sight to behold. HERE'S AN IDEA..... I would encourage every one of you to SUBSCRIBE to Acres newspaper. It's only $27 which really is nothing compared to what we spend for a coffee, book or dinner out. It also makes an amazing holiday gift for friends on the learning path. To get it in time for Xmas, call 1-800-355-5313 or e-mail info@... and you will get your first issue in the mail before you know it. This will also get you the Acres Book Catalogs which provides books, tapes and videos you basically can't find anywhere else.
