Guest guest
I think you are right about the hard pills. I crushed a calcium pill & put the powder into my hot coffee thinking it would dissolve. Well I had to go out & didn’t finish the coffee. When I came home I finished the cup & there at the bottom of the cup was the crushed pill & it was like sand. It never dissolved at all. I can’t imagine how that would be good for you other than real roughage! AmicoCT zone6 From: tuzahu973@... Guest guest
I found a delicious Blueberry flavored Calcium at COSTCO. The brand is Reviva & they also have a good Tropical Fruit flavored Multiple Vitamin as well. If you find they get stuck in the back of the throat it's because your throat/mouth is dry.Drink a small sip of water BEFORE you take the pills. Then try taking them with the water. Also they make calcium in a powder which could be put in smoothies. What about fish oil in a liquid form?Carlson's is a good quality and it decent tasting.http://www.vitacost.com/Carlson-The-Very-Finest-Fish-OilTonyOn 9/21/2011 2:22 AM, Amico wrote: I’m going to have to talk to my doctor or the pharmacist about pulverizing some of my supplements into the recipes in the vitamix. Guest guest
Sure, Jane-happy to share. I get asked about this a lot, and much of it wouldn't interest others, so with Lea Ann's permission, I will do up a document about my health and recovery and post it in the files section. I am still playing catch up from having no internet all weekend, so I will work on it in the next day or two. Guest guest
You will love it in the juice or even in a smoothie I’m sure. It really is delicious. Sometimes I’ll take 2 teaspoons in the morning & again in the evening to meet the 2 T daily. I was choking on Calcium pills but found Reviva Liquid Calcium that is Blueberry flavored at COSTCO for about $12 a bottle. I mix the daily dose of 2 T into a glass of Ocean Spray Blueberry Pomegranate juice & don’t even know I’m taking it. It’s delicious but thick on it’s own. The juice makes it a joy. And, now that can go into the Vitamix as well. LOL I won’t have my vitamix for about 10 days. I just ordered it yesterday. I’m chomping at the bit. I tell them every time I go for a blood draw, for some anemic person this would be like liquid gold, but they draw it and throw it away, because the blood is actually to thick they have to use a larger needle to get it out. I do feel much better after the draw. It is short lived. I have found online there are some I think Amino acids that are used in Chelation therapy that you can take that is suppose to help clear some iron from your body. They tell you right away there is nothing you did to cause Polysythemia or Hemochromatosis some nice ancestor was born with a bad gene or chromasone that causes your body to store so much Iron. On the Co Q 10 I will look into that, I started buying the 300mg gelcaps at Costco because they had them for 25.00 for 75 pills and this month they have them on sale for 7.00 off, limit of 5 bottles ( YEARS SUPPLY) On Wed, Sep 21, 2011 at 3:15 AM, Amico <l_amico@...> wrote: Wow, and to think of all the people that are anemic! (yes you are reading that right a pint every 2 weeks) On Wed, Sep 21, 2011 at 2:41 AM, Berry <berrywell@...> wrote: You can easily replace most supplements, and flax seed is far better (and tastier) than fish oil, which mostly comes from farmed fish, so is not really healthy at all.
