Hah. I was planning on calling the section editor this morning to

follow up on the press release for the Guild I sent her a week ago.

Wish I had called the day I sent the release - maybe there would have

been time to incorporate a blurb for Guild member Patty (and NP

moderator) and her line http://ganacheforlips.com a line of yummy

chocolate flavored lip balms! Oh, well, I'll be sure to mention it

when I speak to the editor because it'll stay fresh in her mind for a

future feature, I'm sure.

Hey, thanks Anya! I guess my little company is too

puny to show up on the press' radar screen. Or maybe I

need to hire a good PR company!

Cheers!

What do I do,go and buy a 100% cocoa butter moisturizer that smells

so chocolaty that you want to eat it! Its so yummy. But its not

creamy, it's like trying to rub a candle. Does anyone have advice on

how to use this stuff? I can get a little to smear on my hands, but I

cant imagine getting it on the rest of me!

Andrine's reply:

Hey there ,

I make perfumed cocoa butter moisturizer bars, and the key is to

roll them between your hands for a few seconds. That's usually all

it takes to melt just the amount that you need to use. And it takes

a bit of rubbing in, but, boy is it ever nice afterwards! And you

*could* get a friend to help... I find that works pretty well...

Especially if their hands are warmer than yours. =: D

Have fun!

Kirsty I'd really love to hear your recipe too please.

Our recipe is just chocolate (cacao) powder, cacao butter and carob nectar (our

favourite sweetener from detox your world). It is really simple just 3

ingredients. We melt the cacao butter, stir in the chocolate powder carefully

until it thickens (I add quite a lot - as much as I think it will take) and then

add carob nectar to taste. I also add steenberg flavourings (the rose is nice -

so are vanilla and peppermint) - but it is fine without too.

I set it on greaseproof paper in the fridge. I used to use cup cakes but now

just make blobs mostly with a spoon.

Adding sultanas and or nuts is nice. If you grind the nuts you can make praline

(making myself hungry!)

We are all fine with this but we do feel that Eddie is best eating chocolate

near enzymes. A little bit is fine anytime at all - but we wouldn't give too

much (he can get a red ear) unless he'd had enzymes. It's especially nice after

a meal.

Hi Sara,

I use the same places as Kirsty

www.detoxyourworld.com

or www.funkyraw.com

(Funky raw is cheaper for the chocolate - it's not organic but it says it is

pesticide free if I remember right). I'm looking for cheaper supplies. I buy

lkg bags.

I'm terrible with amounts ...

I half fill a pyrex bowl of cacao butter for melting in a pan of heated water.

(the less heat the more raw)

I add somewhere about 2-3 times as much chocolate powder as cacao butter - but

we like it chocolatey. Add slowly and make sure you can still stir it. I add

maybe 2 tablespoons of carob nectar but taste as I go :-)

You can use tools from Weight Watchers--their online site or their points calculator if you are a member--to calculate the points. Now the current points system doesn't use calories to calculate the points, just fat, carbs, fiber, & protein--so maybe you are using an older version of points, and they *are* different--current points values come up a little higher than the system that was in place a couple of years ago.

But this entire recipe has 51 WW points using their current calculators.  So if the recipe makes 4 servings (which was not specified), that's about 13 points per serving.  About half the points are from the chocolate chips (25) and half from the heavy cream (24) and 2 from the egg, so you might try it with " fat-free half & half " (I didn't know there was such a thing but it appears in the points list) which has 4 points per cup making the total 31 points or 8 per serving (if there are 4 servings).

Yes, it's 4 servings if you really top off small custard cups. You can stretch it to 5 portions pretty easily.TerryI've also made it as white chocolate and I plan to do some butterscotch.Sent from my iPadOn Sep 18, 2011, at 9:48 AM, Elissa Wurf <elissawurf@...> wrote:

Perhaps it is not mousse - I know nothing about culinary level cooking :-)

Perhaps it is more of a pudding? The cocoa powder can be increased also if

someone would like more of a chocolate flavor.

A similar chocolate mousse recipe that I have done in a food processor many

times is on my list to make list for this week.

I'll blend silken tofu in the vitamix until very smooth then add either melted

chocolate chips or cocoa powder and honey(or your sweetener of choice).

Some coffee crystals or espresso are a good addition. Even better for grownups

only, is to add some Kahlua or brandy!
