Almond Milk Dilemma

I've been happily making almond milk from the cookbook and not really worrying

about the nutritional info - after all the unsweetened almond milk at the store

is only 40 calories a cup. Then I started to think that a CUP of almonds was

certainly not only about 150 calories so I looked it up. 822 calories (70 gm

fat and 31 gm carbs) - spread over 3.5 cups that is still more fattening than

Whole Milk (and not many still drink that).

Do those of you who drink almond milk regularly use the recipe of 1 cup to 3

cups water? Or have you modified?
