Well you will be near Hopkins Hospital and it is rated number one in

hospitals in multiple areas of expertise so I would say that is a good

thing!!!  Are you looking to see what school services are also or just medical?

MOVING TO MARYLAND FROM NORTH CAROLINA ..

  Hi I am new to this group, so hello everyone:) My daughter Brooklyn is 9

months old and we are moving from North Carolina to land to be near the

snow.. hahaha!.. to be closer to my family. We are planning to move to the

easter shore we think, but was wondering if there are any other parents out

there and how they like the services they recieve in MD. I know everyone says

Kenny Kreiger Down Syndrome Institue is wonderful. In Raleigh we have pretty

good services, we are just nerveous going from a larger city that has a large

medical community to a small town. Any information is greatly appreciated we

just want to do what is best for our angel! Thanks Alison

Hi Loree,

Yes definitely any info on school services, Infant and childhood services (which

I know is federal mandated, but aren't some states better than other). Since she

was born people have always told me that some states are really great on

services and others are not... for some reason people keeping telling me Conn,

is wonderful for services, schools, ect.

I guess I am just overall trying to get info on how parents that live in MD like

where they are and the services they get for the child. We are nervous about the

move b/c we are hoping not to take her from a larger area that she may have the

opportunity to have better services, but I do not have family here so we wanted

to raise her in a smaller community where we have allot of family and friends.
