I can understand how you are feeling. I have also seem ads like that for

weight loss products. 30 pounds in 30 days is not only ridiculous but unsafe

too. There is no way to lose 30 pounds of fat in 30 days. You would probably

be losing water and muscle. I know what it is like to want the weight off but

you have to remember that slow weight loss is permanent weight loss. If it

were that easy to just pop a pill or drink a shake and drop weight, well,

none of us would be over weight, LOL! My horoscope said something neat this

month. " It is imperative that you keep an eye on the big picture and beware

of compromising future goals for temporary rewards " . That relates to diets in

a way. I how much pressure we start to feel around swimsuit season! We want

quick results. Maybe we try diet pills or slim fast. We may get the results

we want, but what will these diets do to us in the long run? What will happen

to our metabolisms? Our internal organs? Our immune systems? I can really

relate to the feelings of wanting the darn weight off. I have been at this

weight loss thing for over two years and I just want it to be over already!

But the thing is that it will never be over. I will get to my goal weight but

that doesn't mean that I can stop watching what I eat and exercising. Those

are things that will have to be part of my life forever now. And that is not

a bad thing. Hang in there . You will get where you want to be. It will

take some hard work, but that is part of the fun. When you reach your goal

you will look back and be so proud of yourself for all of your hard work. And

I hope that you will be proud of yourself along the way too :) Take Care!

TO lose thirty pounds in thirty days, you have to be REALLY strict and buy a

whole bunch of stuff...it is rather expensive. It does work, when I was in

high school, i lost 40 pounds in like 6 months, cuz i didn't buy all of the

stuff...I just bought the necessary stuff, you know? Itdoes work though!

Good luck!

When I was actively losing weight with WW, I'd say I ate between 1500

and 1800 calories a day. Mainly that consisted of 3 meals a day with

snacks in between. For example, breakfast would be cereal, with skim

milk and a banana. Then a mid morning snack of either fruit or

yogurt or something like that. Then lunch which would usually be a

sandwich like turkey on whole wheat with a little mayo, lettuce

tomato and some cottage cheese. Then an afternoon snack of pretzels

or lite cheese puffs and then dinner which would be something like

chicken breast a vegetable and a salad with lite salad dressing and

then an evening snack like fat free pudding and a cookie. Basically,

it was 3 meals with healthy snacks throughout the day. There were

times when I was still hungry after eating all my points (on WW you

are allowed so many points throughout the day based on your weight)

and on those days I would add an extra snack or two. Even though I

was eating above my points range, I continued to lose weight because

I was doing an hour of tae-bo 6 days a week at a pretty high

intensity. Now that I've reached my goal weight, I honestly don't

know how many calories I eat in a day, but I'd guess that it's about

2000 or more. I still eat 3 meals a day and if I want to eat

something I do. I don't deprive myself at all because when I do, it

usually leads to binge eating for me. I can get away with eating

more since I do tae-bo on a consistent basis. It allows me to eat

more without gaining weight.

As for the herbalife, I used to be an herbalife distributor and it

does work, but I don't know about that 30lbs in 30 days. That might

work, but what you would be doing is drinking a shake for breakfast

and lunch and eating a sensible dinner. Yes, you might lose

weight...but I'd venture to say that you'd be miserable most of the

time and that you would feel deprived. It's also not a realistic

meal plan because nobody can live like that for the rest of your

life....so more than likely the weight would come back on. You also

have to take pills that contain ma huang and guarana which I believe

contain ephedra, which is a form of natural speed. Yes, it speeds up

your metabolism, but it can also be very dangerous if taken in

combination with anything else or if you have any type of heart

condition. So, will it work? Probably. Is it a way to permanently

lose weight and keep it off? Probably not. Which means you'll be

right back where you started from trying to get the weight off a gain

next year. I know it's a stressful time of year with vacations and

bathing suit season coming up, but if you take this weight off slowly

and sensibly....it will stay off and you won't have to do this all

again next year. says it all the time.....tae-bo (or your

workout...whatever it is) has to become your lifestyle. If you are

doing it only to lose weight, you might reach your goals, but it

won't stick. Because in order for you to make this really work, it

has to become a part of your life. And it has to be something that

you are doing because you enjoy doing it. So, my advice is to try to

eat sensibly. Try to add more fruits and vegetables to your diet.

Try to make small changes to your diet. Try to drink more water.

And keep pushing play. Whatever you do, don't restrict your calories

too much because tae-bo is a strenuous workout and your body needs

fuel to burn the calories efficiently. Try to enjoy the journey and

as you do, hopefully, the pounds will come off, too :)

I'm glad I am not the only one who was curious! I wondered if that wasn't

the answer! I almost didnt' ask because I was afraid of offending someone!

But my inquiring mind wanted to know!

I am actually below my goal weight (1110). I started at 135 lbs and just

changed the way that I eat and continue to do so. I have not had reed meat

in 15 months. I never eat fried food. When I was losing I watched my fat

grams (tried not to go over 25). I eat tons of fruits and vegetables and

loads of fish and chicken. I do eat sweets, but ones that are low-cal.

Angel food cake with strawberries and fat-free Cool Whip is my current

favorite. I just made a huge pot of vegetarian chili. I never thought that

I was on a diet, just a change in the way that I eat.

Thanks for your wise advise! I knew whatever it was, it was a quick

fix and a temporary one because you always have to go back to eating. I

thought it was a pill. I didnt realize it was shakes! If I wanted that I

can do slim fast! If I could just make my thighs shrink I would be

thrilled. It's coming off everywhere but there! UGGHHH!!!

Thank you for all this information. You are so very helpful. And

you seem so willing to help and encourage. It's really appreciated! ( I

know there are others out there who are just as encouraging and helpful and

willing and we appreciate you too!)

I was just kind of wandering and I'm sure I wasnt the only one. There are

people who have tried every kind of diet and need some help in this area.

People als need to know there are diets that are not for everyone and they

need to find what works for them. This way they are more likely to stick to

it.

I lost 60 pounds in 6 months on Weigh down workshop. I ended up teaching if

for 2 1/2 yrs. It is now available in book form. This worked for me because

I was never one to diet because I never wanted to give up my chocolate and

I don't like a lot of stuff so for me to go on a traditional diet was not

appealing to me! WDW teaches you to eat when you are hungry and stop when

you are full and to eat what your body is craving. The week I quit drinking

pepsi, I lost 7 pounds. Otherwise I lost 2 - 4 pounds per week. I lost the

first 48 in 12 weeks. I never felt deprived because I wasm't being told

that I couldn't have something I liked and forced to eat something that I

didn't like.

I gained 20 - 25 pounds when I quit smoking. It was my fault for going back

to overindulging myself. I ate in place of the cigarettes. I know what to

do and how to do it but sometimes I just want God to lyposuction it all off

so I don 't have to work at it and he is saying yeah right! He won't do for

me what I can do for myself! So that means get myself in gear and just do

it! Taebo has helped me to want to do better. It makes me stop and thing

before I put something in my mouth. Do I really want this or need this and

is it worth it??? Now with all the chocolate crosses and bunnies floating

around here today, it's been really easy to give into eating!

I too heard on taebo tv say that it can't be a fad, it must become a

lifestyle.

Have a great day!

HI

The part that really catches my attention is where you said " I NEVER

THOUGHT THAT I WAS ON A DIET, JUST A CHANGE IN THE WAY I EAT. " I guess this

is where the mind comes into play. How are we viewing this journey? You

have a positive outlook.I like that! I think this is where some of us miss

it! Thanks for the insight!

WOW! I can't imagine life with no grease! lol! You must really have some

will power! I like strawberries and banana's mixed together! We have

strawberries and angelfood cake here for easter! No low fat cool whip!

Thanks

I have to admit I have great willpower, however, one of my favorite things to

do is browse the grocery stores. You would be amazed at all the good foods

that you can eat and still eat healthy. My girlfriend and I discovered

low-fat French fries from Ore-IDA. I eat them almost everyday for lunch!

Since I am alone at lunch it is very easy to only get out the correct portion

size so you won't overeat. Anyway, you can eat 7 of the steak fries.

Preheat your oven to 400, put in your cookie sheet w/out the fries to preheat

also. When it is done preheating, place 7 of the fries on the sheet and

spray them really good with Pam (my solution to grease). They are ready in

about 15 minutes. Try them and you won't miss Mcdonalds fries at all. I

have loads of other good foods that I have experimented with. let me know

if you want some other suggestions.

Hi Jackie,

Sounds like you've been having a lot of fun lately!

Anyway, about the toenail fungus thing. Yes,

had that (still does on one toenail) for a very long

time. We ended up putting him on oral Lamisil and that

helped (except for that one toenail) but the way

things happened it's kind of hard to know what role

the medicine played. 's nail on his big toe (he

only had it on one foot) was really bad. One night he

accidently kicked something and the toenail ripped

off. It was really awful. But when it grew back it

came in normally. The only problem with the medicine

is that it might damage the liver.

Hope this helps.
