There is no membership approval process on the Off Topic list, so you can go join it right away here: OffTopic/ if you would like to follow the replies...Hey everyone (but I expect has special knowledge about this…)Are there any glass sauce pans that are "toxin free"?I just found out that certain "stainless steel" pans can leech Nickel! (the way to test your stainless steel is to take a magnet to it. If there is attraction, there is less (no?) Nickel. If there is no attraction, there is too much Nickel present to be safe for cooking! 50% of my stainless steel pots do NOT attract the magnet!!! (lucky for me the steamer that I use MOST DOES attract the magnet)!Sheeze!Anyhoo, I was thinking that glass would be a safe alternative (although now I don't trust anything) so that's why I'm asking!Oh, and I'm admitting that I'm too lazy to look it up via Google. I'm hoping that I'll be forgiven for my laziness in exchange for the tip on how to find Nickel free stainless steel…:-)
