Guest guest
Kimmah, We are related, apparently. My mom would do that to me, too. I know she was doing her best, and we really are good friends now, yet to this day she's never apologized or, I think, come to the realization that what she did hindered rather than helped me. She was dealing with her own body image issues, and she didn't want a " fat " daughter. Instead, she has an obsessive daughter who's spent most of her life dealing with one eating disorder or another. To be fair, I don't believe my mom is the sole reason I've had these issues, not even close; she's one infulence, along with peers, magazines, the media and my own perfectionist personality.
