Guest guest
My daughter just turned 13 and has braces now. She had a pallet expander over the summer and that was challenging. She has adjusted quite well to the braces. I think she was just so relieved to have the pallet expander removed that she was fine with anything else. We just always need to be sure that she doesn't have any sharp points since she will rub her lip/cheek on it and cause an injury. I suggest a Water Pik as an alternative to typical flossing since it's a little less invasive sensory-wise (other than when we sprayed her in the face with the Water Pik which was more often than we care to admit!)
