You shouldn't need to add any water to any nut butters. If I were to make nut butter with soaked nuts I would dehydrated them really well first. I bet that was your problem.I've never needed to add oil to any nuts either but I've heard that with almonds it might be needed. I do refrigerate my homemade nut butter as they don't have preservatives.KimFrom: Robbie <Lordshelpr@...>Subject: cashew nut butters Date: Sunday, August 21, 2011, 9:39 AM

Hello all.....

I have 2 things to share today. First I had a question about cashew butter. Has anyone ever had theirs go moldy on the top? My first batch that I made did and it was really strange. They were soaked nuts now that I think about it,maybe that was it?

Do I need to refrigerate the butters after making them?

The 2nd batch I made turned out awesome. I added a bit of grapeseed oil and some water and salt.....wonderful.

As I was putting it in the jar, I had some left so I added a fresh peice of raw coconut meat that I had from the morning.

Oh my gosh!! The smoothest cashew/coconut butter EVER!! The flavor is decadent...... ;)

In HIs Grace....

Robbie
