Guest guest
OK-- so I've gone UP everywhere. Call it muscle mass, call it bloating since I'm going to start my monthly soon, call it whatever, but I started crying. I had to hide out in the bathroom for 5 minutes to try to get my sobbing under control. Maybe it's hormones...sigh....but I was totally upset. I still did my UBW, and fought between the feeling of utter depression and the thought: I will show HER--referring to the innocent girl with the tape measure.>>> Corinna - don't quit!!! Everyone's body is different and everyone takes a different amount of time to accomplish their goals. Even though you're not seeing what you want to see - yet - there's so way, with a change in exercise and dietary habits, that your body is not responding in some way. It just takes time - even though that's cold comfort now, and seemingly a trite comment - but it's true. I noted in a journal when I started this that there's a reason why it's a 12 week program. It's not one week of hard work and 11 weeks of coasting, nor one week until I look great, and the remaining 11 weeks spent admiring my reflection in the mirror. It's 12 weeks because it'll take all that time and possibly more to reach my goals - but that's what makes them worth achieving. If they were easy, everyone would be doing it! Hang in there! One woman said she didn't notice anything until week 10, and then the weight practically fell off her. (I love that phrase - could you imagine being in line at the grocery and just having five pounds fall off your abdomen onto the floor?) Keep on going, you're going to finish up great!!!
