How tall is the Vitamix with the 32 or 48 oz container

Just wondering if I got a 32 or 48 oz container if I could have my Vitamix out

on the counter - seems like I use it at least once a day, but getting tired of

lugging it back and forth with my shoulder - would like to make room on the

counter, but the 64 oz container is so large.

Now you all got me thinking! Doesn't happen that often! LOL ^,,^

The smaller one fits under the cabinets on the counter. I have to turn the cap

upside down but it fits. I had it in the counter before with the regular large

container but I had to have the top and bottom sitting side by side. That's one

thing I like about having the smaller container

My 64 oz. sits out on the counter, just not on the base (which also sits on the counter). This is what I do - after I wash my container, I turn the container upside down on top of a square crocheted cotton pot holder (prettier than a folded up dish towel) to drain and air dry, and that's where it stays until I use my VM again (I use it quite frequently). I still have the 32 oz wet container on my wishlist, but not so that it will fit under my counter, but rather so that when I'm making smaller batches of something (like my cashew sauces that nobody in my family will touch, but I think they are crazy not to!) it will be easier to get the contents out. When I only had a 64 oz. container, I always kept the base on the counter, and put the container in a cabinet below, or stored it upside down right beside the base (drying). For me, a washcloth is the perfect size for the container to dry on (upside down).I like the 32 oz. as a second container as opposed to the 48 oz. because the 48 oz. is not as "handy" (nimble, small, etc.) as the 48 oz. and you already have the 64 oz. for when you need larger batches.I store my 32 oz. upside down (always drying) on the base of my VM. I lay a wash cloth over the base, then place the 32 oz. container over the wash cloth (upside down). I keep my lid in the cabinet underneath my base, but you can also put it on the container (I just put it on the bottom of the upside down container - looks funny, but works for me…)Hope this is helpful!

Hi Leap,

I made cloth covers for all of my machines so that they all match the decor of

the kitchen. Can't buy them that way to fit the various machines including the

VM so I just did it myself. Save or buy enough so that you can do future

machines or just change them all out again if you need to. I sew clothing for

others, so fitting the machines was a cinch! LOL

Forgot to mention, the point of your question-ahem...I take off the container

and place it next to the VM or also can place it where there is no upper

cabinets. I have a huge kitchen so it works for tall appliaces on the counter

tops.
