I make soups all of the time. I also do a balance between raw and cooked foods. You could steam the veggies, cool them off, then blend them into smoothies or you could make soups!

Hi, all-

This past week I was told by my acupuncturist to minimize the amount of raw veggies I each given my thyroid issues; she suggested eating them lightly cooked instead. And then I happened to get an email from my old doctor's practice with a blog entry about the same topic:

http://www.saragottfriedmd.com/2011/08/20/thyroid-minimize-goitrogens-for-optimal-metabolism-weight/?utm_source=Sara+Gottfried%2C+MD+List & utm_campaign=3e88275347-Weekly_Roundup8_4_2011 & utm_medium=email

So, does anyone have any experience or suggestions about still blending veggies, but in their lightly cooked form? I'd love some thoughts before I start experimenting.

Thanks in advance!
