Guest guest
I have a different take on Glee. I find it incredibly refreshing that the show has disabled kids in the main story line. The woman who used the word mongoloid is a character who is the poster child for shallow and unintelligent thinking. Her character is insensivtive to EVERYONE!!!! This attitude that the world owes us a revision in humor (tasteless and offensive to some) is, in my opinion, one more way to keep the disabled out of the circle of the real world. The show also makes fun of pudgy, gay, Pottery Barn buying, clean freak, cheerleading, driven, gentle, over burdened people too. It has fun with the human condition. Why do we have to stand affronted? I love Glee and I am writing to tell them that. I respect others opinions but I had to put out one differing opinion because like I said the show does a great job of inclusion. Inclusion in this sorry world of flawed people who can be completely hilarious when taking themselves far to seriously. Ann (mother to Amelia 9 with DS) and Jake 8.
