Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I've been smiling as I read about the messes in your kids' rooms. I have 4 children. One has OCD. All of them leave stuff around. I think it is a symptom of childhood, not OCD. Currently we are dealing with wet towels and crumpled up wet bathing suits. I finally told them that they will just have to use their wet towels and bathing suits and they couldn't get dry ones. This tactic has worked for a day but I'm going to hold firm! I think one of the difficult things about OCD is determining if a behavior is OCD or just being a child. We tend to blame everything on the OCD. My son is a hoarder. I finally gave him a drawer and told him to hoard in there. That seems to be limiting the piles of stuff. I hope you all have a peaceful, calm, and joyful summer. Enjoy your children. Even though we have difficult days, they are the blessings of our lives. in central CA Re: CBT for depression > >Hi >Often universities have programs that are free. You can try this.My daughter >goes to a psychologist that teaches the doctorate program at a university >and he and some of the other psychologists oversee the free clinic. Our >insurance company added him to their list of providers (only for my >daughter)because his fees are below their set rates. >Theresa in SC > Re: symbol > > >HI , > >Thanks for the reminder. Guest guest
, What county are you in? Here in Orange County, you need a prescription, and Medical/CalOptima provides them. They are the cheapo diapers that fall apart and cannot reuse the tape on the sides. Jeannie Mom to Mark and
Guest guest
Jeannie, Although Medi-Cal is administered by the individual counties, it is a State program. Medi-Cal will pay for better diapers if you ask the provider. I was getting those trash diapers (the ones that fall apart when they pee once) and I told the provider (Westnet) that they might as well keep them. They told me that if my doctor would write a note to that effect (that they don't work for ) that they would get me better quality diapers. I now get Promise brand, which aren't great, but they are better than those others. I buy Mollicare overnights for nighttime from HDIS. I think they run about $90.00 for 56 diapers. I use one a night for him and he is on a continuous drip feeding pump at night so he pees alot! By the way, the Medi-Cal also pays for what the provider calls a " rubber sheet " , which is actually a fairly thick matress pad. They will provide one per month if I request it. Makes changing the bed alot easier and helps protect the mattress if he does leak through. Terry Mom to , 13 yrs.

Guest guest
Sue; I was saddened to read about . I am praying for you and your family. is a true star angel now. Thanks for thinking of all us cyber folks in a time like this. If there is any type of tribute you would like me to put in the newsletter I would be more then willing to do so. Carolyn; Ah, so you know what it is like to have 'destructo's' in your house. What is PECS.....is that like a picture sound card? > out of energy....today I can't be bothered....maybe tomorrow. Wow you hit the nail on the head with that one. I am constantly feeling like I should be doing 'more' but its so much work for so little results (if any) and Nicala & need some attention too. Nicala was ignored quite a bit before was born because of all the time we were spending with and then she was ignored because of all the time we spent with (who was a very colicky baby). > How do you do it!!! I thought I was busy??? Wow you > really have your hands full. Well, you have more then I do. I think I am nuts because mine are all so close in age....its really like I have triplets.....how does anyone with triplets do it? Pam; > My grinds her teeth ALL THE TIME. Has anyone > ever told you why this might be happening? I have came > to the conclusion it is just a very bad habit. I think the same for . DR's say that grinding usually has to do with ear infections and they grind to relieve the pressure. We are always having 's ears checked and they are fine. The dentist told me to put him to bed with classical music to help with the grinding. It worked for the summer but since Sept its been non-stop again and we still do the music thing. > Do you ever have a day you just want to stay in the > bed and never come out??? I have those everyday!! Its a real pain to wake up knowing you are going to be cleaning poop up off the carpets before anything else happens in the day. , who has to rescue my glass bowls from the wrath of . BTW NO poop this morning but he did pee everywhere (his diaper was overflowed).
Guest guest
Thanks for the link. I have heard that Paxil is addictive and if I decided to wean him off I would consult his doc. Before I decided to go with this I read a study of the benefits of a low dose combo of paxil and risperdal. This is it http://www.bitemarks.com/publications%5Cfaq01.html And believe me making the decision to do a low dose combo was out of desperation. I kept my son off the meds until he turned 15 trying just about everything else out there. But when you have a child losing control in the car while you are driving in traffic I had to make a hard choice. I had to consider the lives and well being of an entire family. Congratulations on being Paxil free. take care, Sandy > > > Date: Tue, 26 Aug 2003 13:22:13 -0700 > From: Colin Wessels <CWessels@...> > Subject: Re: Re: paxil > > Paxil is addictive and not without side effects. Guest guest
You can't avoid having both the sum and difference thermometers in the display, but you can set the feedback so it only relates to the sum of the two channels. You need to make sure your stops are set only in the left (channel 1) channel. I guess there are some people who have used a threshold in sum and another in difference, trying to train phase and coherence in this way. Pete Re: Digest Number 542 Pete, In doing the sum channels, I have one display that is adding the channels and one that is subtracting one from the other thus creating two thresholds. Is this the confusing feedback you refer to here? I think I have been setting the protocol in both channels also. Why is there this function of displaying the two channels subtracted? ps. thanks for saving me from having to do the assessment all over again by answering my question today.
