Guest guest
Kudos to !!! Hey two flawless perfor, mances is something to write home about. You should be proud. Loree 5th grade musical Today was the 5th grade musical. Although tends to be on the nervous side for performances, she easily made it through the two morning " school assembly " performances of the show. She was in the chorus, and knew every word of every song.... I was so proud! And, they gave the kids solid colored T shirts to wear (red, yellow, blue, green and pink,) and she got green, not pink, and she actually wore it without fuss (pink is her favorite color, and generally she wears it every day!) We're growing up! Sadly, after the second show, they gave the kids a big " there's going to be a big crowd here tonight " big deal kind of speech (which I totally understand, getting them pumped up for the show for the parents), so by the time we arrived at school tonight for the performance, she was in sobbing. She said " I am sooooooo nervous, and I might get stage-fright. " Over and over, she couldn't let it go. We tried to get her over it, big sis did her very best, but ultimately, she was really, so nervous that she couldn't perform. Her classmates were very sweet and kind, and tried to help, but no luck. The funny thing is, there were probably more students at each assembly this morning than there were parents tonight, but maybe it was visually more overwhelming (especially after the " big crowd " speech.) Every year it's a little better, and I'm getting smarter too... I video taped an earlier performance, just in case! She did a great job today, and we are so proud of her! , mom to (13), (11 DS), and Sammy (9)
