Guest guest
, sorry to hear about your situation. My son Ben has stayed home all week, and missed more school this year, than days that he's been at school. He was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and stomach virus. He has had fever every night for the past two weeks. The Dr.'s won's give him any antibiotics. (How does an infection go away without it?) We went to a new pediatrician's office today and saw a fill-in Dr., who said that this is his 1st and only time to be there. Why not give him the simple colds and cough, rash cases, not the complex cases. I thought that the front office pre-screens patients cause for coming in. (What is there job anyway?) The fill-in Doc said that he wanted us to come back in a week to see the regular Dr. Meanwhile, I could almost bet that he'll have fever for another week, until Tuesay, and a few days after that for the medicine that I pray the regular new Dr. will give us and for it to work. Can anyone please share their experiences with irritated small intestines? Ben is on the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast). Other than that right now, he likes eggs and popsicles. It's hard for me to get him to eat alot of variety and quantity. Usually, he eats everything and anything! Thanks, as always, for your imput.
