Guest guest
Mark, I will answer the question on the session timer, since it is one of the most awkward controls in the entire unit. Because of constraints in trying to fit so much information on a small screen, the setting of the session duration (which BTW does nothing other than ring a bell) is buried away in the Binaural Beat Sequencer menu. The session timer is also equal to the duration of the first of the eigth segments of the sequencer. If you go in the Sequencer menu you will probably find that the default for the first segment is three minutes. This can be changed from 1..9minutes (Hershel recommends 10 minutes, but this is pretty tough in a home training context.) Remember that this parameter, like all others, can be saved as a user-defined preset, so the adjustment need be made just once. tks bruce ____________________________ > Two questions about the A-1. Guest guest
The session time is set merely as a trigger for a sonic reminder that you may LOG your data. If you want to program a specific time frame, what I have done with the standalone trainer is choose HEG + Binaural Beats. Then in the sequence I set a time frame that I want, and in the second time setting, I set 0- which is a message to the A1 to END. It does limit the sound feedback of your HEG to CHIMES and it also does mean that you will be listening to a binaural beat frequency (which you might as well program to meet your desires in training). But, it does also cause the desired effect of time-limiting the training. I SINCERELY HOPE, that Bruce or some other A1 adept has a better and more elegant means to this same end. PS- So long as there is no hair (or other obstruction) between the HEG sensor and the skin, your placement should be GENERALLY ok. I mean to say, the metabolic phenomenon will be occuring in a GENERAL area around your light sensor, and not JUST UNDER where the light blinks. All the best, Machado- Van Deusen Empower, Employ, Enjoy! HEG Two questions about the A-1. How critical is the placement of the headband (light) the white dot came off my band so I am just estimating. also I have not been able to change the session time. Can anyone tell me how to change this?Mark Nowicki ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).Version: 6.0.631 / Virus Database: 404 - Release Date: 3/17/
