I talked with Ben's Dr. yesterday and we still believe that he has reflux issues

due to weight, eating wrong stuff etc..... She also believes though too that it

has gotten worse since my husband went for military training and won't be back

until October and that is causing some anxiety issues which have made his reflux

worse. We have decided to step him up to Nexium which will control his reflux

better than the prilosec and maybe help the physical issues of stomach/chest

better as we really don't want to put him on any other medications. I will just

continue to reassure him if I think he is anxious about something.

She also commented that counseling probably wouldn't be an option (I agree) as

the reasoning might not be there to do that effectively. He often answers

something completely different than what you ask. Hopefully this will

help...we'll see.

Thanks again for all the commments. Any experience wth Nexium??

took Nexium for a few months when she was a baby...she had some reflux

issues, but they went away.  We didn't have any problems.

Good luck!
