and I were in the drug store shopping for vitamins. After searching

futilely for cranberry capsules, I said, " I guess they're out of cranberry

capsules. I can't find any. " immediately pointed to a middle shelf

and said, " There they are, Mom! " And there they were!

One cannot help but wonder who's the dummy in this house. It obviously isn't

!

Phoebe has surprised me like that, even with her limited language skills. I

was searching for her hairbrush one day and asking myself, " where is it? "

Four year old Phoebe popped up. " der mommy " and pointed me right to it. I

hugged her as soon as I picked my jaw up off the floor.

Thanks Granny. I needed the smile. I am feeling very defeated after

hearing the news of Sanford's affair. Sorry to bring up politics, I just

feel really lost right now.

Kym,

I just got to this. That is great problem solving! I'm glad you sent

this to remind us all about what our kids CAN do and not focus on what they

can't.

How old is now?

Kym,

I meant to respond to this too! Thanks for telling us about this. Olivia's

teacher wants us to focus on this as well, however I think she already does a

great job ordering for herself at restaurants.

Sort of along the lines of what Rick was telling us, with our kids and their

future adult lives, Livi had some pretty intriguing questions for me the other

night. She asked if I had married Dad, then if her aunt and uncle were married

(that would be my brother and sis-in-law), and then she said she wants to be

married when she grows up - to her uncle! She talks alot about what she wants to

do when she is grown-up.

Patty,

I think that is so neat! I love when they have the concept coming of the

future and what they want. :)

I'm getting forgetful in my dotage. I remember to take my morning

medication, but forget the evening dose half the time. I tried setting the

alarm on my cell phone, but I don't hear it. So, I asked (38, DS) to

remind me because she never forgets her synthroid. She takes it precisely at

5 pm, and you can set your watch by it. So, every evening, precisely at 8,

she finds me and says, " Do you know what time it is? " I reply, " Medicine

time! " For a week now, she has not forgotten. The odd thing is, has

never learned to tell time. I think she compensates by what is on TV.

So, in addition to helping me bathe, prepare meals, clean, do laundry and

all that, she is the best caregiver I could hope for. A lady does come in on

the days is at work, but on other days, I am dependent on . She

never lets me down.

time.  wears a watch but does not know the time.  But they have their

strong areas like 's reading and writing skills, Krist's music and dance

skills, and 's incredible memory and work ethic.

Always enjoy hearing from you and hearing about .

Have a great day

PS  and , our nieces, have some incredible abilities too.

professional lady.  She and are a lot alike in so many aspects while
