Guest guest
Oh we (my mom and I) so feel your pain. My mom has a fairly weak stomach and growing up, I tended to get a lot of the messes. My brother, when he was younger - well lets just say that if it stayed in his diaper it was a good day (as opposed to on the walls etc). Now, its just more likely to slip out when he's sick. My mom had a morning before I was fully moved home where she woke up to him having an accident in bed, then some in the toilet (and the back of the seat) and then on the couch all on a day when his social worker and someone from Respite was due to come visit and before she had to go to work. I know you just become immune in a way to it and clean clean clean. But you are in my thoughts and prayers. If you're anything like us, out of all this adversity comes a twisted sense of humor. Cuz if you don't laugh you cry! Take care! Hollie ________________________________ From: CSBC <cindysue@...> Sent: Tuesday, June 23, 2009 9:43:27 AM Subject: Is it Monday or Tuesday? Seriously, I have no idea what day it is. I think Tuesday. I slept well last night. still has diarrhea and popped in his other bed. More laundry....I wish I had stocked up on Tide, bleach and downy before surgery. I can go up and down the stairs - the only thing I need to figure out how to do is disinfect the floors and scrub the bathtub. had accidents in three bathrooms. I poured bleach in the tub for now and added water to disinfect. I'm so afraid I'll get this bug on top of recovering from surgery. is so funny. We have him staying close to us. He came over earlier with a coke in hand and said he felt better now, and that he was going back to the Matt Cave. I allowed him - as I was in the process of washing sheets and stuff for that room and I am up and down the stairs. He came in and said he pooped his pants....sigh! So I strip him down and throw his clothes in with the bleach water that I was running for his upstairs sheets. Speaking of sheets, I had a gold set and lost a pillow case while on vacation last year. I purchased another gold set but they are more yellow and I've been looking for the perfect shade of gold again. I found that when you bleach sage green sheets, they turn that perfect shade of gold! Too bad they are full size and not queen for my bed. Thanks for all your support, prayers and emails. Someone mentioned yogurt and I definitely need to get some. If anyone of you moms have to have a hysterectomy, don't settle for anything less than the laparoscopic assisted ones. I can't imagine how I would be feeling if I had the old fashioned kind that many doctors tell you is necessary (change doctors!). I need to check on hubby now... Guest guest
-in addition to yogurt for you, get some Clorox cleanup to spray on anything that you need to disinfect but don't have time for. It has bleach, so you can let it set a while then mop up or just wipe off with a paper towel. Not really an eco friendly choice, but you sound like you can use some easy outs. (just be careful on the floors and tubs because it will make them a little slippery while wet.) Guest guest
I recommend water and vinegar to disinfect and clean. Much easier on the lungs, less harsh on the floors and toilets and can be put in the wash with ANY color and they won't come out puke yellow. You might have a craving for cole slaw tho. Guest guest
I am big fan of the combination of water and vinegar. Also, sodium bicarbonate for disinfection and deodorization of the laundry.   My mother-in-law (being the Belgian she is) has taught me all these tips! --- El mié 24-jun-09, and FRANK <michdock@...> escribió: De:: and FRANK <michdock@...> Asunto: Re: Is it Monday or Tuesday? Guest guest
Never knew i could use vinagar to disinfect!!! Or Baking Soda. Walmart sells baking soda in a large box..humm...one way or another, I am going to get to walmart soon! is still sick, but he is drinking alot today. He got the boost he needed, his care provider came to spend the afternoon with him. It's like magic - he is on his computer now. He did get a dose of Zacron and Immodium so he's good to go for the next few hours. He is moaning alot, I probably stomach cramps which he can't really express that feeling to me. I did call his school and no other students have had this bug. Some adults have, but not to this severity. I can't help but wonder if he drank too much pool water and somehow got a bug that way???? Anyway, I am hoping and praying those bugs stay away from me and Tim! I'm enjoying watching all the daytime court and trash shows like Steve Wilkens...lol! And I have found I can lay on my tummy again without feeling discomfort - it's been months.
Guest guest
I been using vinegar and baking soda to clean for years. Combined with boiling water, you can even unstop drains with it! I use vinegar in the final rinse when washing whites and sometimes colors, depending on how stained they are. Then I rinse again. Gets all the soap out. I buy vinegar by the gallon and baking soda in the huge boxes. Baking soda is a great fire extinguisher, too. Especially grease fires. granny On Wed, Jun 24, 2009 at 2:54 PM, CSBC <cindysue@...> wrote: > > > Never knew i could use vinagar to disinfect!!! Or Baking Soda.
