Guest guest
Hi Beth, I was thinking of doing a wine/grape type soap in the fall using some of the pureed grapes and in the past I have used other fruits ect and incorporated tincture of benzion to just the fruit/juice itself with very good results. The benzoin helps to preserve color and stability. Depending on how much you are using I have used about 1/4-1/2 t per 1 cup of fruit/juice and let it sit to absorb before incorporating. You may have to adjust to what works best for what you are doing as some raw products need more or less benzoin than others. Best Wishes, Sherri Re: Re: Cucumber soap Ah, that's what I thought would happen. Thanks, Dee. Guest guest
oo thanks for that tip. I just so happen to have some here. I tried adding some once, at trace but it didn't mix well and left clumps. Now i know to add it to the fruit/veggies itself. > > Hi Beth, > I was thinking of doing a wine/grape type soap in the fall using some of the pureed grapes and in the past I have used other fruits ect and incorporated tincture of benzion to just the fruit/juice itself with very good results. Guest guest
Good Luck! Hubby just went to visit at a friends house and they had a mulberry tree loaded with mulberry's! They said they weren't going to do anything with them and asked if we wanted them, so we will use them for jam and SOAP!! Best wishes, Sherri Re: Re: Cucumber soap > > > > > > Ah, that's what I thought would happen. > > Thanks, Dee. > > Beth > > www.soapandgarden.com > www.soapandgarden.blogspot.com > Be good to your skin! > www.saponifier.com > > In a message dated 07/02/09 20:33:54 Eastern Daylight Time, deecal writes: > Yes Beth.
