Shaye, on another list I'm on, there has been discussion about how since the

oils' molecular level is changed during soapmaking, using rancid oils is

fine! Isn't that surprising?

I think it's more likely from too much superfatting. With gm soap, 4 - 6%

superfat is common so that the total fat amt. doesn't go too high.

Can you dry them in a food dehydrator or in the oven or set them in the sun?

How do I dry fresh orange peels without them getting moldy?

Another question? My mom had goatmilk soap someone had made , she says

it got rancid, why?

No. I don't have any rancid oil, except for a lotion bar base that I made

and forgot about, but since it's mixed oils and it has a large amt. of

beeswax, I don't think that will work for soap.
