Guest guest
If you're not really all that fit at the moment, you may want to be near a wall or have a stable chair that you can just rest your hand on if you lose your balance. Dont hang onto it all the time! But just in case you're like me and are a bit too wobbly for you own good. You can steady yourself and continue without falling down Tidey > From: jencastonguay > Subject: Re: Hamstrings > > ---Lunges Lunges. after you are done, you will be crawling to the > nearset chair. > > " People are like stained-glass windows. Guest guest
Cheryl, This is one exercise I do on a swiss ball, but you could use a bench instead. Don't know what it's called but I found it in a magazine: Lay on your back with the bottoms of your feet against the bench (probably need the bench pushed up agains a wall so it won't go anywhere). Put your elbows on the ground for support. Keep knees slightly bent and lift hips up for a count of 3. Hold and tighten buttocks for a count of 3. Slowly release to count of 3. This really makes my hamstrings and glutes *hurt*! Park Re: Hamstrings > I was wondering what you all felt were the best exercises for hamstrings without machines? Guest guest
Thank you to everyone for your replies about the hamstrings. I know what the books recommend but it was much nicer to hear what people have actually found to work for them. Cheryl
Guest guest
That's cute - " be proud of you butt " lift! I'll have to keep that in mind next time - as long as I don't burst out laughing :-) If I do - my hubby will just think I'm nuts. " Look at me, I'm proud of my butt! " LOL > When I learned to do deadlifts my trainer called them the " be proud of your > butt " lift.
