Does anyone know if the potassium problem recurs after adrenalectomy

which showed 1.5 cm aldosterone secreting tumor. We are also waiting

on the results of the aldosterone/renin. Hoping for a resolve on

pressure 140/95 wih med called Atacand HCT so far blood pressure

refuses to respond! Do you think Dr. Grim that the heart should be

looked at with uncontrolled(basically) resistant pressure for 5 years

years? My husband is 6'5 weighs 250 (which seems fairly good for

height)We haven't seen a normal potassium in 4 years or so. I am

really concerned about the long term effects of the resistant pressure

on the heart. A few years ago we visited a cardiologist and his

statement was " well with your size, you might expect to have some

blockage " , we won't see him again! He also visited a kidney specialist

(for the frequent urination problem) as well as a urologist (seemed

like it all might be related) The initial problem for my husband was

frequent visits at night (this started 5 years prior to the really

resistant pressure coming on. He is 42 and I can say problems started

mid 30's. He had a high high stressful job (i tease him and tell him,

his personality with the stress made him grow that tumor).

(introverted and quiet soul). I will post story when I get a chance.
