Guest guest
I would like a serious comment by Dr. Grim and members of this group regarding this: I am not a doctor nor dietician, but may I ask you: ________________________________________________________________________\ _________________ QUESTION: What if you try a different diet for 2 weeks as an experiment? Try a low carbohydrate diet and eliminate the simple sugars? Include: fish (baked or broiled - not fried) tofu raw and cooked vegetables sprouts non-fat plain yogurt for snacks Just a thought to see what it does to your body. ________________________________________________________________________\ _ My experience is that when I eliminated sugar and went low carbohydrate last year, I lost 25 pounds and shrunk my waist size. The problem is that this year I gained 20 pounds back by going on a diet that included more sugar carbohydrates. Not sure if the hoodia or rimonabant really helped. ________________________________________________________________________\ _______ Another experiment if you want to try it: Could you switch your blood pressure medication to Inspra or Sprionolactone and see what happens? Could you try 500 mg to 1000 mg of Metformin each day? Although you may not have diabetes, you might be surprised what the increase in Potassium and glucose adjustment does to your body and blood pressure levels. Would it would be worth a try? YES OR NO? I suggest you get your potassium, renin and aldosterone checked. Once again, I am not a doctor - but 200 mg. of Inspra has brought my blood pressure down to 120/80 - something I have not seen for 20 years. PLEASE COMMENT. Sincerely, airlinerg
