Guest guest
Hi Beth, I know I also prefer scented products but I had so many 'customers' ask for scent and color free because of allergies, real or made up. You know the ones. They come to your booth, pick up, sniff and notice the price then say 'oh I can't use, or, so and so can't use this because of the scent, ad nauseum. That's when I mention the sf and cf soap. Sometime they buy. I get my rubber stamps from a company in Buffalo. They just need 'camera ready' copy to work with. I forgot to give you the MSDS info from Riverside Chemical. If you send me your address I'll send that and the invoice to you for your records. Jeanine Jeanine's Hummingbird Soap Works _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ByrneBunch@... Sent: Monday, July 24, 2006 2:23 PM Subject: Gathering Swap Review I never cease to be amazed at the talent of soapers and chandlers, and this swap was no exception! Cheryl - you are hereby inducted into my Swirling Hall of Fame! I am determined to drive to your house and beg for a swirling lesson. This soap is beautiful! What a nice, hard bar. My dd saw this and ran it up to the bathroom right away. Debbie - Yea, another lovely votive! Since I don't make candles, I love getting them from other chandlers. This one smells so nice. I always liked Plumeria. I might even burn this one in the summer. Yes, I will! - OMH is another one of my all time favorite scents. Mmmm. . ., I like this bar, and will use it soon. I like your label, too. :-) Good job! You've come such a long way since 2004, but that's what talented people do, right? Bekka - Wow, a demo and 2 wonderful swap items? You're too much! Not that I mind, LOL. . . I love scrubs, and yours is no exception. The body milk lotion spray is heavenly, too. It's a new scent for me, and I love it. Your packaging is so classy! Colleen - We surely missed you on Saturday. I hope that next year you can make it. Love that beautiful soap! The thing I like best about mp is how creatively it can be done, and yours is no exception! Delightful scent, too. :-) - I'm so proud of you! You're really doing a terrific job with your new creations. I'll bet your girls think you're awesome. :-) I love the smell, and am looking forward to using this scrub. In fact, it's calling me, so I'll have to answer soon! Katy - Your hand cream packaging is so nice that I almost didn't want to open it. I overcame that feeling, however, and tried it, LOL. The consistency is so rich and creamy, and the scent so pleasant. I love it! Maybe you can give me some tips. . . - What a wonderful soap you chose for the swap! I really like the scent blend you chose. I haven't tried that particular blend, myself, but I will now! This is such a nice soap. Thanks for the directions on dry brushing. I've read about it, but am now more determined to do it daily--or at least more often, LOL. Where did I put that brush? Now, whose Oakmoss soap was it? I adore the scent, and it's packaged so beautifully. I'd be proud to offer this soap. It's beautiful, right down to the stamp and tag. :-) Gabby, is this yours? I know Colleen mentioned whose it was last night, but I can't remember, and can't find her post. Edna - When I saw your soap box, I thought it was the most impressive box I've ever seen! Then, I opened it, and wow, what a lovely soap to match! Tell me, how do you keep it from sweating? I've long wondered what the smell of Monoi de Tahiti, and now I know what everyone's raving about. It is every bit as intoxicating as people report. Thanks for the lip balm, too. I always need more of that, and this is sooo nice. Shaye - Love, love this dry bath oil! Antique Lilac is a favorite of mine, too. :-) I love getting products that give me an excuse to take a bath, LOL. Your packaging is always superb. How did you do it, with all the gathering work you did??? Jeanine - I have to be honest here. I usually don't like the scent free soaps that much; but yours is great! The natural scent is very pleasant, and I'll enjoy using it. Love the boxes, too! Did you get rubber stamps made for them? Do you have a good source? nne - Last, but certainly not least, the foot soak fizzies are such a good idea! I really like your labels, too. You do a great job, and I'm looking forward to using one after I finish my housework and gardening today. :-) What a stupendous job, everyone! Thanks for putting so much into your items. I know I've written a book, but such efforts deserve to be exclaimed over! Guest guest
Beth your review is perfect!!! All of the participants did an excellent job. Makes you want to just soap and concoct different products. Alas, life doesn’t give us that option…. Your ‘pie’ looks so delicious! Of course now wants lemon meringue pie. He’ll just have to wait until Wegman’s has that as a special. LOL The foils I used are 5”. The 4“ don’t quite cover. We missed you at the Gathering. Hope you make next year’s. Yes, already thinking about next year…/ Jeanine Jeanine's Hummingbird Soap Works _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ByrneBunch@... Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2007 12:01 AM Subject: Gathering Swap Review I received my swap bag today, and a huge thanks to Shaye:-) Now, I know what you all have been exclaiming about. Wow! What a great swap! Here is my review in no particular order. Cheryl Sawyer, 3 Dog Kitchen, Body Milk Spray - My goodness, that's nice stuff. It feels good on my skin. I like the Zen Tea scent, too. Is it from Nature's Cauldron? It's nothing like I imagined. Herbal Eye Pillow - I can't find in the book who made this, but I LOVE these. I keep saying I'm going to make some, but haven't done it yet, so thanks! Maybe I can sleep in tomorrow, now. :-) Sweet Hyacinth Soap, Gabby - Your label is simple perfection. Love the leaf design and the font. The scent is fantastic, and I know we will enjoy using it! You do a wonderful job. Jeanine - Hummingbird Soap Works, cuticle Balm and bath fizzies - I've been meaning to make a cuticle balm, but again, it's all in my head. Can't wait to use yours on my gardening weary cuticles. The bath fizzies are wrapped so nicely. What size foil is it? I've been wanting to sniff Black Vet. Cafe, and now I can bathe in it. :-) , Sweet Pea Soapworks - Mmm, love coconut, mmm. . ., that's a lovely scent. The lotion feels so nice on my skin, and I can't wait to use it after shaving tomorrow. :-) Your label and bottle are very professional looking. Good job! Colleen, Country Meadow Creations, Summer Essence Soap - Colleen, this is among the most beautiful glycerin soaps that I have EVER seen! I'm just going to stare at it for awhile before I use it. :-) I love each of the scents you chose, too. Beautiful work, including your labeling. Candle - I'm sorry. I can't tell who it's from--Debbie Z? I love the scent, but I can't quite place it. How beautifully packaged it is, too! I hate to unwrap it, but I really want to burn it, so it'll happen very soon. It matches my living room too. :-) Debbie S, Country Artist, Comfrey Salve - I'm going to have my son try this right away for his hydrotic eczema. He's been miserable with it. Your label is just too cool! You're such a terrific artist. I love it. We left our first aid kit somewhere in MI, so this will help me get a start on making a new one. Honey Bear Natural Soap - Who is this? Kim? Must be CUUUTE label! I like the scallop cut and the blackberry picture. The soap is very attractive, too, with the m & p in. The scent is enticing, too. It's a great summer soap, so it just might be first in the shower. :-) , Blue Mtn. Botanicals, Body butter and Soap - I just made body butter, too, but can't wait to use yours! The Strawberries & Cream is fantastic. I could eat it. And, matching soap, too! My skin thanks you, and I thank you. Your stamp on your soap is fantastic. It makes it look even more attractive. Katy, Naples Creek Soaps, foot cream and soap - Katy, you always do so well! Your logo is so professional looking, btw. Foot cream, wow, I can certainly use that, and I will, esp. after working. You betcha. I'm looking forward to it. Your soap and label look perfect. Love them both. Shaye, The Soap Shack, lip balm and body oil spray - What a wonderfully rich body spray! It feels good, although I've only tried it on my leg, LOL. I've never heard of Berry There, but I like it. :-) Now, the name of your lip balm is just too cute, you clever girl, you, and your labeling is amazing! Is it shrink-wrapped on? I do like that, and the balm feels terrific. I am a balm kind of girl. I don't like making balm, and especially don't like labeling it, so I am more than thankful when someone else makes it for me. Corning Wax Works (Kim?), Blackberry Musk Soap - Oooh, aaahhh, that scent is to die for! The soap is pretty, and I love your stamp. Your label is excellent, too! You're very creative and did an excellent job with it. I want to use your soap first, too. I might just have to open two or three tomorrow and get extra clean, LOL. Wow, you all really outdid yourselves on this swap, and I'm honored to be among such company. Thanks to all who participated, and if I got any names wrong, I apologize.
