I wouldn't worry about him needing a haircut or what people say about his hair.

It just isn't important. I have 6 boys and 2 girls and someone usually needs a

haircut!! No doubt about that. I noticed that if my boys hair is getting kind of

long or messy that somebody will make a comment about it. I have never heard any

comments about my girls needing a haircut or anything. I guess some people feel

that all boys should have short hair and its their job to be the " hair patrol " .

Anyway, it sounds like you had a full friday!! It can get really hard to make

plans that " everybody " will be happy with. It is much easier to make plans when

the kids are little but as they get older it becomes almost impossible to have

everything go the way you planned it. I learned to just go with the flow and

not to blame anybody (including myself) if things go wrong. I have learned to

rewire my plans or just drop them altogether and start fresh in order to make

things work. Don't blame your parenting skills for a bad day or if things don't

turn out like you thought it would. This happens to every family and has nothing

to do with parenting skills or planning skills. Just " let go and let God " is all

you can do.

While I am here I would like to let everybody know that Gaby (2 years old

DS) will be having her heart cath done on wednesday at 1pm. Please keep her in

your hearts and pray for her. She has had a bad cold these past few weeks so I

hope this won't stop the procedure. She has heart failure and really needs this

cath to find what is going on. I am so scared and not looking forward to this

but realize how important this is for her. Her lungs haven't been able to

fully heal after she had the ammonia in august and went into heart failure. Her

heart doctor did not find the huge hole in the middle of her heart until she

went into heart failure. We are still trying to find out more about it and need

the heart cath for that to happen. Gaby is a strong baby and still very active

so that's a good sign. We will have to go to the Childrens Hospital in New

Orleans to get this done. We live in Lafayette so its a 2 hour drive and I plan

to be prepared to stay there with her. Have anybody here ever experience this

heart cath procedure before? Was it okay? I am not sure what to expect. Thanks

for listening you'all!!
