Guest guest
Just a little breast tenderness! Oh and expect your cup size to go up a letter or two or three and that you may bleed constantly rather than just for a few days each month...... It's heavier bleeding than normal as well. Luckily that does abate once you come off the spiro - takes 3 - 6 months (well it did for me - 3 months I wasn't so sore and after 6 months cup size back to normal - for me the bleeding never returned to normal - I've been told it is a legacy of the PA hormonal imbalance and there is nothing that can be done - no treatment and no " cure " except <the unacceptable to me> total hysterectomy). I'd love to know if there was an increased risk of gynae tumours - I guess that they are pretty common anyway so it would be difficult to judge. Just a few minor side effects for the ladies then..... Guest guest
Funny it has had the opposite effect on me. I had one light period which lasted half a day 3 weeks after starting Spiro and that was it. When I stopped Spiro to prepare for AVS and was experimenting with dosage, it came back lightly again and once I increased Spiro, no more periods. I guess another reason to say we all are different in taking medication and how the side effects work for individual persons.
