How we torture ourselves! I didn't take any meds post op and saw a

gradual decrease in my bp readings with the occasional bump back up

to 150/95. I had been as high as 220/110 pre op and averaged about

180/100.

I haven't seen those numbers again, I take daily BP readings, usually

twice daily, I still DASH although I can cheat a little without

immediate consequence. It took about six weeks to level off to 120-

130/75-85 , and I occasionally get even lower, this AM was 106/72.

I haven't seen any spikes in several weeks.

I felt some dizziness and brain fuzziness for a while post op, felt

it was my body trying to adjust to the lowering BP.

I too have the fear that this is all to good to be true and I will go

back to the same place I was. I do not tolerate any medication well

at all so the thought of having to try any med again is a nightmare

for me.

I have a few articles I found which did state the adjustment can take

3-6 months post op.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I got so fuzzy and desperate today

that I popped an HCTZ.

Can you send me links to the articles you mentioned?

Thanks,

Jeff
