Guest guest
I hope to have the results in on Thursday when I see him. Just one aside: I had a 24 hour urine potassium done. The tech was going to give me one container to fill. I said that I needed probably four. He said that was impossible, nobody ever fills even one. He gave me two bottles. I went back in the afternoon for two more. I filled 3 1/2 bottles with urine in 24 hours. I think I set a record at this particular lab. The lab called me yesterday to confirm that I understood that this was ONLY a 24 hour test. I told them that yes, I only collected urine for 24 hours. She said she had never seen anything like it. Talk about excessive urination! Now that my tests are complete for the moment, I feel a bit more relaxed and relieved. doctor ordered (after two hours of ambulation) cmp, cbc, lipid profile, tsh, u/a 24 hour urine potassium plasma renin activity plasma aldosterone concentration 401.9, 276.8 Jeff - I did ask the lab tech for the high specificity/sensitivity tests, but he said I would get just what the doctor ordered. I tried.
