Guest guest
Hello Dr. Grim, my name is Desire, and I have a condition which my doctor calls hyperaldosteronism hypertension. I have extemely high blood pressure, which is controlled by Lisinopril. I take one 10ng a day. Well I have something where my potassium is dangerously low, and this is what causes the high blood pressure. I have been to a specialist whom did nothing for me. I am confused and I don't know what to do. I informed my medical doctor that I do not want to take medication to control my blood pressure for the rest of my life, if there is something else causing the high blood pressure that can be fixed. So lets get to the cause of the problem. I also informed my mom of this condition and she informed me that she also has low Potassium, and high blood pressure, and her doctor is controlling her blood pressure with medication also, I informed her please tell your doctor you have Hyperaldosteronism hypertension, so he can look into it, and find the cause of it. My doctor is very concerned and she has informed me if she has to send me to 12 specialist she will do that to get to the root of the problem. This was a very reputable specialist, but he did not have any answers, because all my blood work was fine, except my postassium was low. Your advise is greatly appreciated, and thank you for your consideration.
