Guest guest
I just got my first case of " stomach migraines, " a young teenager who has a very severe case of this which is medication resistant and has required that she drop out of regular school. Although I've learned to be comfortable with treating the regular type of severe medication resistant migraines, I've never had a case of stomach migraines before. What is the current understanding of this disorder? Should treatment that would target regular migraines also be effective for stomach migraines? How is this disorder generally approached with neurofeedback or biofeedback? With regular migraines I have had very good results with pIR HEG alone, and I think even quicker results when I have also incorporated Heart Rate Variability and Capnometry Biofeedback. Thanks for any help....This same approach has been very effective with the type of abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting that is associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome......but the present case has definately been confirmed to be neurologically based.
