Guest guest
Beautiful soaps, Colleen! How do you get the soap so white? Really makes the colors in the layers stand out. Very nice! Guest guest
Colleen, Your soaps look just fine! I had a seize problem today.. Seized even before any trace. Bang, zoom - I added my fo, patchouli from Soapcrafters, and as I was stirring the color in some set aside for swirling, my whisk wouldn't move. I looked in the pot and had a huge blob. I remembered that someone on another list had mentioned this problem and what she did was reheat the mess. I put the pot on the stove and turned up the heat. Eventually got to where I could mix the concoction. Of course - no swirl but a nice teal green. The soap began to look like Vaseline (did I just do HP?). I was able to spoon it into my log molds and some milky way molds. Now it has changed to a speckled teal. I'll try to post pics tomorrow. Did you use TD to get your soap so nice and white? Did I miss your decision on going back to school? What did you decide, or haven't you decided yet? M My new soap pics I updated my site today with my latest cp soaps. Guest guest
Isn't it great how you can save a soap. Even if it takes a slightly different turn, ie. teal instead of swirled, you still get something wonderful and unique out of it. Colleen, your soaps look beeyootiful. Whats happening on the school front? Deb s-pgh __________________________________________________

Guest guest
> I really like the way the " Mystique " one came out! :-) LOL! Thanks a bunch ! That Mystique was my seized soap and was the one I liked the least. Just goes to show you that we all have different tastes! Next batch of that I'm hoping doesn't seize so that I can maybe try a swirl with it. Guest guest
> > Beautiful soaps, Colleen! How do you get the soap so white? Thanks Katy! They are actually more of a cream color, I think it's just the way dh takes the pics that they look white. Thanks Jeanine!! Please do post pics of your soap when you can. It sounds interesting & I might have to try that reheating if I get another seized batch. Nope, don't use TD, don't even have any. I think it's just the way dh takes the pics because the soaps are more cream colored in person. Guest guest
Nice soap pic's. I especially like the Perk Me Up bar with the orange color. That is a fab color. I don't usually color my soaps but seeing yours might force me to give it one more try. I have tried in the past but I don't have patience and my colors never came out nice. Guest guest
> > Nice soap pic's. Thanks Debra!!! I was terrified to try coloring cp, but it was sooo easy! Don't know if this is " right " or not, but I take a teaspoon or two (never measure) and mix it in with some oil. The oil all depends on whatever was last in my measuring cup! When the soap traces I put some in the measuring cup with the oil/colorant and stir away. For the layered soaps I just put the uncolored in the mold, spooned some colored on top, then uncolored, colored, etc. My molds only hold 3lbs, but I'm going to try swirling in the mold soon. Just got an easy idea from the SouthernSoapers list I'm on to swirl in the pot. Maybe (who joined us recently) will pop in and share!
