Bill (saratoga scents) can ship up to 20 lbs in a box. I read this week also

that Boyer Corp sells " a case of 12, 2 lb cans for around $54, that includes

the shipping " (1-800-323-3040). I just ordered some from Bill.

Well, I just finished up the 100 lbs. of lye that I bought from Shyra at

the gathering last year. Tops used to carry Red Devil so I could run

down there and get some in a pinch. I haven't checked in awhile but just

looked the other day and they don't stock it anymore. Guess that's that!

I really need to find a good supplier that will sell in 50-100 lb.

increments. Does anyone know of a source in the Rochester or Buffalo

area? I know Lizz gave me the name of Chemical in Caledonia once

but I think she mentioned that they only sell by the pallet now. I found

another chemical supplier in Avon and haven't called yet. Do most of

these places sell to the public? If anyone can point me in the right

direction, I would be forever grateful! At this point I would even drive

in the direction of Syracuse if I had to since it would only be maybe

twice a year. Thanks!

Thanks you guys! I'm really looking for something that I can pick up so

I can avoid the crazy shipping costs. Bill did email me awhile back

about his and told me that the shipping would be expensive. If I can't

find anything locally then I'll know where to go though! Thanks again!

The shipping from the west coast to here will KILL you. Plus the HAZMAT fee.

Chemistry Store sells and ships lye in large quantities. You will pay the

HAZMAT but the shipping is MUCH les.

Thanks Jeanine! I do get up that way occasionally as I have a wholesale

customer in Toronto and we meet in Buffalo. This is great!
