Guest guest
Yes, the K is looking fine at 4.5 mmol/L. Will re-continue to dash and track BP. Thanks, Jeff > > in many the bp will bounce around for a while. has k been recheched post > op? still dash. the vessel hyoertrophy from the aldo bp takes a while to > reverse. be sure to keep track > of bp daily. > > > May your pressure be low! > > Clarence E. Guest guest
Dave, Thanks. Things are smoothing out very well. It seems that I am, for the moment, much more sodium sensitive than I am accustomed to...that's pretty easy to deal with with a bit of DASHing. In addition, I was unaware that BP bouncing around post-op while looking for a set point is fairly normal. As to the path report, I've read it in full and have followed up with the pathologist. The only abnormality found was the 1.2cm adenoma with the characteristic golden chalice color. There were no abnormalities seen visually or under microscope in the remaining tissue (I had the pathologist recheck these sections since nothing other than their existence was noted on the path report). Although I had the AVS, the findings were not totally unambiguous since only 1 sample from the right appeared to be coming from the adrenal vein and perhaps not cleanly at that. That said, when looking at the aldo results from left pre and post-ACTH stimulation, the numbers were so high in comparison with my overall plasma levels (and IVC), we had a fairly high level of confidence that the problem was unilateral on the left. Surgery showed that to be correct. Sorry your " experiment " did not work out quite so well. -Jeff > > > > > > in many the bp will bounce around for a while. has k been recheched > > post > > > op? still dash. the vessel hyoertrophy from the aldo bp takes a > > while to > > > reverse. be sure to keep track > > > of bp daily. > > > > > > > > > May your pressure be low! > > > > > > Clarence E. Guest guest
Dave,I'm curious, since you couldn't do AVS, did the docs do positional studies or Reglan (i don't know how long ago your surgery was) to try to differentiate between hyperplasia and APA?-Jeff On 1/8/07, Uncle Dave <riothamus20@...> wrote: Glad to hear yours did, Jeff.DaveOn Jan 8, 2007, at 10:47 AM, datawrhsdoc wrote:> Dave,>> Thanks.
