Guest guest
Lynn, From your last post, it sounds like you've figured this out, but here are some thoughts: It really makes no difference which band you call the one you are training. Just pick either SMR or Alpha and define the frequencies as you wish. The only frequency definitions that make any difference are the ones you are using in the training. The theta band looks fine, and the SMR is the one you are re-defining. You are inhibiting beta, which may work for you. I usually look for high-beta at T3/T4, because there is often a large differential there between left and right temporal lobes. At C3/C4, you may have excessive beta, so inhibiting it may make sense. In terms of when I use the T's vs. the C's, the answer would be " when it works better " . Many Tone problems respond very well to T3/T4, but some don't seem to budge. If that happens, then I'd try C3/C4. Keep up the good work! Pete On Sun, 27 Oct 2002 17:25:22 -0000 lmqh28 <lmh28@...> wrote: > Please help! I've been training tone > using C3/C4/A1 at 12-15 hz. Guest guest
Pete When U refer to T3/T4 or C3/C4 for tone issue this is monopolar protocol right? When Wise is refering to the her Mirror Mind machine which site on 10/20 map was she using? one site, multiple sites? Is there a way to distinguish trainning with 2 different protocols, ie say SMR UP, Beta Up, within the same Client id folder. Brainmaster just keeps add a new sum file but does not remember if it was SMR up or Beta Up without keeping track of which sum file it was. In short I am looking for the following, C:/brainm/studies//smr-up...... all the sum files for using the smr-up and C:/brainm/studies//beta-up...... all the sum files for using the beta-up I just seem to get C:\brainm\studies\james or c:\brainm\studies\smr-up but no way to set up history of client trainning Smr without keeping track of the sum files that correspond to the smr-up within the folder. Sorry about the long winded question. PS Really enjoying the tread. Guest guest
Pete: Have you ever done tone training using c3/4 and t3/4 at the same time? Mark
Guest guest
I loosely inhibit theta and, if there is a relatively high level or surging in high beta, then I inhibit that as well. I start rewarding 12-15Hz with an adult and slide the frequency down as far as 8-11, one notch at a time, until I find something that seems to quiet and release for the client. Pete So, Pete, when training Tone T3/T4 you inhibit theta and hibeta and reinforce SMR? Thanks again,
Guest guest
, When I give a protocol, I always use a standard for stating them: channel 1 active/channel 1 reference/ground/channel 2 reference/channel 2 active. This relates to the order in which you would plug leads into a brainmaster, starting left to right. I usually don't specifiy the ground, because it can be placed most anywhere. So when I say T3/T4, I am talking about a bipolar protocol in one channel. T3 is active, T4 is reference. If I were talking about two monopolar protocols, I would say T3/A1/ground/A2/T4. I'm not certain where places her leads. The best way to differentiate your protocols is, as we did at the training, to create a new ID for each protocol. Set up Beta and define your protocol for that; then do the same for SMR. Then, when you open a graph for the Beta sessions, you know they were all done with the same montage and the same protocol. I even set up different ID's for sites. My tendency is to use the client's initials, reward and inhibit and site as the ID. For example, JJTBC3 would be Joyce, Theta/Beta at C3. Guest guest
Yes. I wouldn't start with that, but I've done it further along in training and it worked very nicely.
