Guest guest
Yes its all very rare and is probably why I been to 8 Endos with no luck at all till I found you Dr. Grim. You are a a real life saver. My neropinephrine is the highest above range. aldo, testosterone, dopamine, Dhea over range as well. With the exception of cortisol which is in range last checked. I am also keeping up with checking K as Im taking HCTZ now days. I have learned much in here on how to manage this hurrican of hormones I got going on. The ACEI and the CCB are making a real difference. I am so pleased something is going right at last. ita I am having a MRI to look at this possible Pheo. Guest guest
Hi ita, about two years ago, i was told that i may have pheo. since i have conn's already, it is very difficult to even think i have another rare illness. dr. grim, what is the probability of having two rare illnesses in one person? and why? if i have pheo and conn's, what are my options? david 2 > > I am having a MRI to look at this possible Pheo. Guest guest
I hope you dont develop a pheo have you had your catecholamines checked? I was rather shocked when I found out I had twice the amound of norepinephrine but it explained why I went from a relaxed kick back person to a enraged individual nerves wreck with less patience and always stressed for no reason at all and could not sleep well. The ACEI Benazepril has really taken the edge of me I am sleeping through the whole night after all these years of suffering. I do think having one hormone imbalance can lead to another especialy a growing adenoma. ita hyperaldosteronism , " bayabas76 " <bayabas76@...> wrote: > > Hi ita, > about two years ago, i was told that i may have pheo. since i have conn's already, it is very difficult to even think i have another rare illness. dr. grim, what is the probability of having two rare illnesses in one > person? and why? if i have pheo and conn's, what are my options? > > david
Guest guest
Dr. Grim, So I guess I am a very unique creature with those probabilities. I have conn's confirmed. I am scared of finding out pheo. but the symptoms are there. What a way to exist. > > > In a message dated 10/16/06 8:49:18 PM, bayabas76@... writes: > > > > dr. grim, what is the probability of having two rare illnesses in one > > person? and why? if i have pheo and conn's, what are my options? > > > > On the average it will be > > Prob of having two diseases: prob of disease 1 x prob of disease 2. > > So if prob of PA is say 1/100,000 and Pheo is 1/1,000,000 then mulitple it > out. Guest guest
Same here with the " enraged " thing and less patience too. I do not go to any doctor now. > > > > Hi ita, > > > about two years ago, i was told that i may have pheo. since i have conn's already, it is very difficult to even think i have another rare > illness. dr. grim, what is the probability of having two rare illnesses in one > > person? and why? if i have pheo and conn's, what are my options? > > > > david 2 >
Guest guest
Hi Yes becoming enraged when there is no good reason to be enraged. I had to learn to controll the rage part years ago and just feel the churning of the rage inside me but look like calm water on the outside. It has been rough. The benazepril is doing wonders for the rage part and I have not had to take any valium or xanax since I went on benazepril I am laughing much more again. I know it is hard to find a dr. that knows about this. I wont see any in Sacramento their so scary and reckles. I seen 10 down there since 01 and 5 in the last year with no luck. Then I came in this news group and found out I am a wreck of hormones with labs to prove it.. I dont know what those dr.s i was seening were doing for 8 months in Sacramento, can you believe they came up with nothing? I have so many out of wack hormones I gave up on them in July. I met several drs. in PI when I lived there that I liked. Hope you find someone, there for your hypertension that understands endocrinology hormones. Now I am going to San Francico to a dr. referred by dr.Grim and waiting for some MRI scan to get approved hoping the pheo/adenoma glows. Then banishing it from my body cut,cut snip, snip and hope I am well by spring or summer. Thats my plan. I got very very luck to think Dr. Grim is moving an hour in a half away from me. I just have to be patient and all good things will come. ita " bayabas76 " <bayabas76@...> wrote: > > Same here with the " enraged " thing and less patience too. Guest guest
Hi Debi, I have no clue as to my dopamine levels. I am not seeing any doctors anymore. it is the classic story of conn's people...having been missed by docs for so long. in my case, twelve years. -- In hyperaldosteronism , moonium@... wrote: > > , > > How are your dopamine levels? Guest guest
Dr. Grim, I have retired here in the Philippines right now. > > > In a message dated 10/18/06 8:55:10 PM, bayabas76@... writes: > > > > > > Same here with the " enraged " thing and less patience too. Guest guest
ita, One way I control rage is through exercise. I put all the tension into exercise and it helps somehow. The head pains are minimized when I am not conscious about it. I think my mind is helping too. Since I lost my job last May, I do not think I can afford the drs here in PI, you know how they charge per visit. take care. > > > > > > > > Hi ita, > about two years ago, i was told that i may have pheo. since i have > > conn's already, it is very difficult to even think i have another rare > > > illness. dr. grim, what is the probability of having two rare > > illnesses in one > > > > person? and why? if i have pheo and conn's, what are my options? > > > > > > > > david 2 > > > > > >
Guest guest
Still Dr. Grim its a good move to check for Pheos and thankful you had that in your difficult to treat hypertension page. I would have never knew what cats are other wise till probably a later date. And I got the high norepinphrine level in labs. I need to do my 24hr urine that is waiting on me. For the 2nd proof test. I'm really enjoying the Benazpril which has alowed me to sleep nights along with the spiro, & atenolol. I got a good combo going on now. ita > > In my experience I am most often wrong when I think a pt has a pheo based on > symptoms.
