I have been taking daily 50 atenolol-rapid heart beat,100 Sprio,12 HCTZ but still have diastolic in the 90s-98. I have a tight chest am very nervus. But felt real calm on the Lotrel even though BP was too low, should I stick with a CCB? I have read CCB are being used soley to treat Pheo. Does alpha b interfere with any of the scans where a pheo glows? I am sensitive to medicines in general. Noropinephrine, aldosterone excess is awfull. No wonder my blood pressure is so out of whack. ita Which dose of Lotrel? I always add the lowest dose esp when on other BP meds. It is an excellent combo for difficult HTN and my favorite. Guest guest
Hi ita, The nephrologist who gave me a CCB was thinking about pheo. He did not believe in conn's since it is just so rare in his mind. I am still on CCB since I have not doctor as of now to tell me otherwise 2 > > Hi Dr.Grim > I tried lotrel yesterday and got low blood pressure results of 90/63 > reclined and didnt take my nite time meds. It is an excellent combo for difficult HTN and my favorite. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Hi Dr Grim I was on the 2.5/10mg lowest dose. I now have Norvasc 2.5 and broke that in half today and seem ok so far. I been on HCTZ 2 weeks and my K went from 4.4 to 4.1 is that a bad sign? Maybe I need maxzide a K sparing type. How long does it take to bottom out on 12 mg of HCTZ? Guess I should check it in 2 more weeks. ita

Guest guest
The symptoms I reported here (those related to ccb side effects) are now minimized after a week of reducing my ccb to 4mg per day. I plan to reduce it further slowly as my system adjusts. I wonder if ccb is the one I should take as part of my long term regimen with Spiro. 2 > > > > > > Hi Dr.Grim > > > I tried lotrel yesterday and got low blood pressure results of > 90/63 > > > reclined and didnt take my nite time meds. Guest guest
Hi I'm still only taking 1mg of this Norvasc and on the 4th day I got the rapid heart beat back I thought I got rid of it. So I have added 2 1/2mg benazepril to the mix its a ACEI its the other drug that was in the capsul that was to strong. Having them in pill form is better and introducing them slowly one at a time has made a big difference. The ACE drug benazepril is the more powerful one I got way to much norepinephrine floating around so I need something to block it, spiro sure did wonders for the excess aldo. Have you done labs on adrenalin and their by products? I would think it would be standard.I saw 9 Endos you would think one of them would have checked me. I found this information in Dr. Grims files and went and had labs which confirmed it all. I am so glad I found this group. ita > > > > > > > > Hi Dr.Grim > > > > I tried lotrel yesterday and got low blood pressure results of > > 90/63 > > > > reclined and didnt take my nite time meds.
