<PRE>if you wrap chicken twice in foil and put in ziplock, it lasts 4 months in

freezer...make sure it is at least room temperature or cooler before putting

in the freezer to eliminate freezer burn, which is what takes away from the

taste

I cook chicken breasts on Sunday. Any of them that I haven't eaten by the

following Friday or Saturday, I put in ziplock bags and freeze. So, I go 5 or 6

days on refrigerated chicken, another month or so on the frozen ones. They

probably last even longer than that frozen. Once they've been in the freezer for

5 or 6 weeks they kind of start tasting like the freezer though.

Can I freeze cooked chicken breasts?

If I freeze them will they taste ok after I thaw them later to eat?

How long can I keep cooked chicken breast in the fridge before they

spoil?

My father, who owns a grocer store, has always told me that chicken

in the fridge is only good for up to four days afterwards. I cook

chicken once a week and leave 3-4 breasts in the fridge and freeze

the rest. If you freeze them in ziploc bags and try and get all the

air out, they'll last a long time.

Hi, Chicken usually lasts about 4 to 5 days tops, if you want to

freeze them I would recommend buying freezer bags or buying an

inexpensive vaccum sealer for freezing things over a week. That way

they don't have the nasty freezer taste. Make sure they are well

sealed and they should be fine. Keep any poultry or meats in the

top shelf of the fridge, it is the coldest part.
