Hey Ladies,

I just want to wish you all well on your efforts. Last year at this

time I was busting out of 14's into 16's. This year I celebrated

Christmas in a size 6. It took two challenges - Feb. 2002 to July

2002. I've maintained since then. Nov. and Dec. I slacked off on

working out big time so there's some jiggly stuff going on but I'm

still amazed that I'm picking sixes off the rack. I had no hope and

no one could have told me that this was possible so I KNOW it is

possible for you as well.

It is so cool to not to have to deal with struggling into your

clothes. Give yourself this gift. Don't get discouraged. Don't get

impatient. Just take it one day at a time. Give it your best each day

when you wake up and you'll get there. Around week nine you'll feel

discouraged. I know I did. Doesn't matter. Stick with it. BFL is it.

I'm starting back in the 6th. I'm working on getting strong and

banishing the last jiggle bits. I'm 5'4 " and 45 years old. One year

can make a tremendous difference in your life. I am 45 lbs. lighter,

off medication for depression and have exchanged a crappy job for a

great job. To anybody out there who is where I was a year ago,

sweetheart you can do it - do it for you, whatever you wish for, do

it. Yeah it can be hard at times, I was unemployed for 3 months, but

as long as you're trying that's the main thing. I wish you all the

best in your efforts and I wish you a fantastic new year.

That was such a great post! Thanks for sharing and congratulations on

your 1 year progress! Glad to see that you've kept up with the

program.

Good luck in 2003!

Jan,

Thanks for sharing this inspirational story. I've been so impatient

and discouraged lately; this is definitely something I needed to

hear. Congratulations on your weight loss!

Thanks for that post Jan! Very inspirational. I, too, lost a lot on

BFL, about a year and a half ago. I really am grateful with my

current size 8, but wish it were a size 6 like you! That's my goal

now. It is easy to get discouraged in the beginning, but it sure is

worth sticking with. And if you're an all or nothing person, try

giving yourself a break! Just because you cheat now and then, don't

throw in the towel! It WILL still work if you just get back with the

program. Just keep telling yourself this is for life; not for 12

weeks.
