What are the stats for one egg white?

There's nothing wrong with eating a few yolks (I just had 3). The only problem

is that if you use only whole eggs, your calories tend to get too high before

you get enough protein. Four whole eggs have over 300 calories and about 25g of

protein. One whole egg plus 5 whites still has 24g of protein but only 158

calories.

So, I guess it depends on whether or they're trying to lose weight or gain

muscle. Four eggs plus a decent portion of oatmeal could easily climb to 500 or

more calories. Most women going for weight loss on BFL shoot for only 200-300

cals per mini-meal. Six 500 calorie meals might be perfect for a 17 year old guy

trying to gain muscle though.

Here's a CNN article with egg nutrition info and the latest info on why yolks

aren't bad for you.

To remove or not remove yolks: that is the

question

I have a 17 year old niece and nephew doing the program with me. Is

it necessary for them to remove the yolks in their eggs each morning?

They usually eat 4 eggs each morning with oatmeal. I would think

since they're young, and technically the yolks contain protein,(which

some claim is not as heart damaging as rumors say) it wouldn't hurt.

I've read different views on this. What does everyone think? I

normally eat 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg each morning, but I'm older

and have more fat to lose than they do.

In that case I think the whole eggs should be ok for the two of

them. :)Thanks

I usually calculate 6grams of protein for each egg white, though some

people have stated it's less than that.
