I have been on it for about a month and a half. I also take Toprol 12.5mg once per day and Xanax 0.25mg once per day. My K was 4.5 three weeks ago up from 3.7 a month and a half ago. My resting pulse was very high for me today, around 90. My bp has been excellent at around 110/70 and as low as 103/54. I am concerned about the pulse. Should I be? Is this normal? I also have hypothyroidism and my TSH is around 6 right now. I am not on Synthroid because it caused some problems for me and we are waiting until after my surgery to readdress this problem. Thanks! Suzanne Your local Doctors can best advise you on this. Have you been decreasing your Toprol or has your BP fallen a lot recently. If the latter then it is likely your baroreceptors trying to keep the pressure up and this should quiet down. Keep us posted on your surgical results. Have we gotten a complete Suzanne's story of your journey to the correct diagnosis. If not we would like to have it in as much detail as you have time. You should also take it to your current Dr'ing team and then also to all the Drs who missed the Dx in the past. You will help prevent them from missing others. My Bp has seemed to drop a little lately. It is now going down as low as 103/54 but averaging 110/70. Maybe it just took the Spiro this long to fully kick in? My guess is that ths spiro is doing its job now and this is why your BP is so much better--especially if you are DASHing. It suggests that surgery will be very successful if you have a unilateral problem. Check with you Endo as soon as he gets back. May your pressure be low! Clarence E. Guest guest
Good luck Suzanne and it sounds like you are in good hands of the doctors. I'll be looking forward hearing your story post adrenalectomy and wish you the best and hope all goes well for you. Then I will keep you all posted on my surgery after it is over. I know reading the stories of others on this board have really helped me get through this. I think Kip's detailed reports post surgery have really made me optimistic about the whole thing. Thank you so much to all of you! I think it takes a really strong person to make it through this... you are all very special!>> > In a message dated 12/29/05 4:09:25 PM, suzanne_paolini@y... writes:> > > > I am on Spiro 50mg twice a day.
