Guest guest
, Apart from having nothing to do with alternative health practices & /or techniques, this is exactly the type of subject which won't be discussed on this list. There are more conspiracy lists than health lists. Take it to one of them. And, you failed to mark it as off-topic in the subject line. If anyone wants to discuss these kinds of topics on oxyplus, be warned I have a very short fuse and will ban anyone from this list who persists in discussing controversial subjects that have little or no relation to the purpose of this list. If anyone wishes to post a subject & wants my opinion before posting on whether or not it is appropriate for this list, send it to me privately & I will respond promptly. jim oxyplus moderator > From: " H. Guest guest
Jim: Earth Share showed up three times this morning on my e-mail, all on oxyplus. Why was it there? Guest guest
Tim, I don't know what Earth Share is, and I don't really give a damn. You saw it because someone thoughtlessly put it on our health list, someone else used it as an excuse to post something even more off-topic & I made a polite attempt to suggest to everyone that they drop the off-topic subject. Unfortunately, you didn't get the point, so I'll esacalate one more notch and say it clearly: Everybody, cut it out! When the moderator makes a polite suggestion, it is NOT a suggestion by any stretch of the imagination! I am generally polite because it is my nature. But, when annoyed sufficiently, I will take action. Tim, if you're being cute & teasing me, you didn't make that clear. I'm not amused, because I have to waste my time answering these off-topic posts that everyone should realize beforehand have no place on a health-related e-list. Why do adults act childishly? I don't know! I am annoyed that you saw fit to continue with a pointless thread. You force me to waste more of my patience, and more of other members' time to clarify that you and I both know you should have left it alone, or written to me privately. While you did write to me privately, you also posted it on the list. So, I am answering you on the list in the hope that everyone will finally understand the following: While I am the moderator, this is NOT a moderated list. The diference is that on a moderated list no posts go to members before being cleared by the moderator. In other words, I don't review posts before they go on the list, so I have no control over what is posted. My control is that when something improper is posted I deal with it after the fact. I do so on the list when I think there is a purpose to do so. I do it off-list all other times. And, the only power I have is to ban someone from the list, which I do whenever members persist in foolishness. From past experience I know there is always someone willing to push my buttons one more time. So, I have devised a simple procedure for dealing with offenders. The first time, I suggest politely. The second time, I explain in a more stern manner. The third time, I ban them. This post is my second on this thread. Who's next? jim Thoroughly out-of-patience moderator Tim Bolen wrote: > From: Tim Bolen <jurimed@...> > > Jim: > > Earth Share showed up three times this morning on my > e-mail, all on oxyplus. Guest guest
Hello All,jim,tim..... I would like to know private e-mail or public... why the change of heart...for I sometimes am frustrated as to why the long e-mails with seemingly off topic subject...likewise am I frustrated with " thank yous " and " call me " and many " mini " messages that should be sent private e-mails and not public for all to see and take up valuable bandwidth. Yes please share/cure my frustrations> Thoughts mike slivinski On Fri, 26 Nov 1999 23:35:38 -0500 Jim Lambert <jlambert@...> writes: >From: Jim Lambert <jlambert@...> > >dear list, > >I want to apologize publicly to Tim Bolen.
