Guest guest
Dina, Wow - I'm so sorry to hear that the neuro appt didn't go so well. had a CT scan and an appt with a opthamologist prior to receiving her helmet. Both were precautionary measures and no unusual results were found. I will hope that the same will apply for your . The sedation was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. was approx the same age as is when she had her scan. We showed up early that morning (she also had food restrictions), they gave us a really bitter orange liquid for her to drink and she fell asleep in my arms. They took her into the scan room and 5 minutes later it was over. They brought her into " recovery " and gave her oxygen which brought her out of the " sleep " . She was groggy for a good part of the day and slept a lot, but after that she was totally back to normal with no side effects. It ended up that the anticipation was far worse then the actual event! Please let us know how things progress and in the meanwhile you and will be in my thoughts. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
