Also, what strength rubbing alcohol are you using? You can get 90% or higher if you ask the pharmacist at your local grocery or pharmacy to order it for you. Otherwise it is usually 70 something %. When you wash his hair you might try using some of the L'oreal Kids Shampoos. They come in really great scents and if you leave the shampoo on for the entire bathtime it helps kill the smell a little better. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Guest guest Posted April 9, 2002 Report Share Posted April 9, 2002 Jace got his band this past Friday. It already stinks! I've been doing exactly what I've been told. Cleaning once a day with alcohol. Washing his hair and rinsing it really well. I will admit that he is a bit of a sweater, even before the band. I can't imagine what this thing will smell like in a month. Anyone discover any helpful tips to use without damaging the band? Thanks!
