Hey guys, thanks for everyone's 2 cents:) My orthotist left me a

phone message today responding to my concerns. He said he thinks

there is enough built in growing room and that we'll have several mo

in it. As for the red areas that don't go away well on the first

helmet, we all think they are because we try to position the helmet

lower on his forehead(difficult and makes everywhere not quite right

I think), since it's cut too high. If we still have trouble, and it

doesn't go by the book this time, will definitely ask to recast, the

thing is it really wasn't too bad of an experience for us, since our

orthotist uses a fiberglass roll, instead of the traditional casting

method. That's not what held us back, just that our orthotist didn't

think it was nec. and the increased waiting time, because it took us

a month to get the first helmet. Kai is almost 7mo and 3 weeks, was

just over 6 months at time of first casting for those of you who

weren't sure. Praying that this helmet will work despite the evidence

otherwise, if not, recast I will push for!! Is there any way

besides, red spots that don't go away quick enough for me to know if

it isn't right? Or just lack of correction? Did I say in my last

post that my husband and I THINk we see a little correction? The

midline prominence on the back of his head, that is not midline,

seems to be moving more to the center, making less of a flat spot.

Maybe we're dreaming, don't know, but if so, that would def. be God,

since he's worn his helmet much less than he should have! Helmet #2

should hopefully be in tom. or if not Monday, Oh I do hope tomorrow!!

THanks everyone, I'll keep you posted! and Kai in Columbia Mo
