Guest guest
You can compare all EAS supplements at their website at http://www.eas.com from the pulldown menu - they have nutritional info and also Q & A's answered about each item too. Here's the info from their site: BetaLean non-ephedra = " along with green tea and naringin to support thermogenesis. To further enhance the overall metabolic environment for body fat loss, this product also includes a unique proprietary formula consisting of L-tyrosine, white willow, and L-carnitine. " Their info lists: Calcium (from calcium carbonate) 360 mg Vitamins % minerals Chromium 150 mcg Micronutrients Green Tea Leaf Extract (Standardized to 50% polyphenols; 35% catechins) 300 mg Caffeine (from Caffeine Anhydrous) 200 mg Naringin 75 mg Bitter Orange (fruit) 300 mg Proprietary Blend (L-tyrosine, potassium phosphate, white willow bark, L-carnitine) 225 mg Note recommended dosage is 2 tablets 3x a day @ about $10 for 120 tablets PhenFree (which is a non-ephedra thermogenic too): Calcium (from calcium carbonate) 338 mg Micronutrients L-Tyrosine 500 mg St. 's wort (standardized for 0.3% hypericin) 200 mg Cordyceps (whole) 500 mg Citrus aurantium (fruit) 300 mg Yohimbe (bark) 100 mg Cayenne pepper (berry) powder 30 mg Caffeine 99 mg Note: recommended dosage 2-4 caps 3x a day @ about $24.00 for 120 tablets Also if you are birth control pills please be aware that an ingredient in Phenfree (St sWort) makes your birth control less effective (proven studies) - so for the comparison and price IMHO the BetaLean is a MUCH better thermogenic ingredient wise and I wouldnt be surprised if EAS phases out PhenFree in the near future. <<joni>> *thermogenics can be a boost for your program however dont think you dont have to do the work to transform your body - you didnt need a fatpill to make you fat so why would you think you need one to make you unfat?* ;-)
Guest guest
Thank you for the response. I have read the ingredients but I am not that knowledgable about what each component is, and while both products are thermogenics, I really just wanted to know why people selected one over the other. I have used Xenadrine-EFX (the one without ephedra) and thought it worked, but sometimes it makes me feel a little jittery, so I thought I'd try the Betalean formula for a change (and I had heard that Betalean is time released). Thanks again. > You can compare all EAS supplements at their website at > http://www.eas.com from the pulldown menu - they have nutritional > info and also Q & A's answered about each item too. > > Here's the info from their site: BetaLean non-ephedra = " along with > green tea and naringin to support thermogenesis. Guest guest
I have not tried the Phen Free but did use the Betalean (w/out Ephedra) from about 1/2 way through my 1st challenge. I would take it 1st thing in the am so I wouldn't just drop the kids off at school & go home & veg with my 2 yr old. It kind of gave me the boost that I needed. I also have to point out that they have changed the formula. I don't remember what it used to have or the amounts but I remember looking when I got the new bottle & seeing that they had taken some stuff out & added others. I ordered it straight from EAS so this has to be a recent change. But now it has a different dosage ( 2 tablets instead of 3 capsules) & says to not exceed 5 days per week or 6 tablets per day. It still says to stop usage after 12 weeks & take 2 weeks off. I just started taking it again after not taking anything for about 3 weeks just on my cardio days. Maybe it is in my head but it helps me put my gear on & out the door to the gym. btw-I tried to take Metabolife when it first came out & I thought I would have my heart jump out of my throat. I threw that stuff away! Sue > I am planning on ordering one EAS fat burners and I know I don't > want ephedra. Can someone please tell me what the difference is > between the Betalean formula without ephedra and Phen Free? > > THANKS!
