Guest guest Posted December 29, 2007 Report Share Posted December 29, 2007 Hi, my name is Dianna.  My husband is Bill and we have two boys, who has Down Syndrome, age 16 and , age 12.  We live in Denton, Texas.  is a Sophomore at Sanger High School.  He attends special education classes but will go to regular art class in January.  He is a talented artist and we wanted him to get more training in that area.  is very involved in Special Olympics through a local group in Denton.  He recently competed in tennis in China for the World Games.  Our family also went to China along with my mother-in-law.  It was the trip of a lifetime!  got a bronze medal in singles and fourth in doubles.  He was amazing and so mature on the trip!  We were all very proud of him!  also competes in bowling, cycling, and swimming.  attends 7th grade in Denton, plays football and basketball and is enjoying his new XBox 360.  I teach in Ponder Elementary as  a  preschool inclusion teacher for kids ages 3-5.  It is a challenge keeping up with three school calendars but worth the effort because of the support of 's school.  He rides with me to school everyday and catches the bus to Sanger.  Bill has worked with the City of Denton for 17 years now.  He enjoys helping out with Special Olympics.  We recently moved into a new home this year and we are enjoying the extra room.  We bought the house for the backyard!  It has a pond and the garden is amazing!  I  enjoy reading the posts of this group.  Happy New Year!
