Guest guest
Hi All, Sorry, I'm coming in late, but I'm just catching up on my email's ( only another 3207 to go ... lol ). I'm Aussie , and I live on the mid north coast of NSW in very hot and humid, at the moment, Australia. Ross and I have been married for 22 years and have 6 usually amazing, but occasionally, frustrating, obstinate and infuriating kids. Ben is 20, has just finished his 1st year at uni, has his 1st serious girlfriend and is doing ok. Danni has just finished her HSC and will hopefully, do occupational therapy at Uni, after having a gap year this year Nick is 12 and off to high school. He's playing cricket at club and rep level and he's a goalie in soccer. Georgie is my 10 yr old , who was born with ds and 2 holes in her heart. They closed spontaneously at 20 months and she was diagnosed with AML at 22 months. I joined you guys exactly a year ago tonight, after she had her 1st period aged 9 on New Years Eve last year. This year she's been to State Athletics and we were told by her oncologist that he was sure she had a brain tumor. The classic symptoms haven't been confirmed through a heap of tests, so she doesn't have a rain tumor, and we see a neurologist in early February. She's just finished yr 4 in a mainstream school, has played soccer for our local club, swims every week and rides as well, so she's doing ok. Santa brought her a fluffy ginger 6 week old kitten, who she's named Boo. For a kid who's mainly non verbal, the fact that she took one look at him, and said " Boo " , and has called him Boo ever since, just brings tears to my eyes, every time I hear her call him. My terror 3 yr old twins, Josh and complete our family. This was their 'Wow " Christmas and it was an amazing one for all of us. The more vocal the boys become, G keeps picking up and using their language. " Go away " and " But Why ? " , are just 2 of the phrases the boys have taught her. " I love you Mum " was the 1st thing Josh said to me on Christmas morning, and G tried really hard to say it too. Yes, I did spend much of Christmas morning a blubbering wreck, but it was just amazing to hear my girl try so hard to say she loved me. So to all of you, thank you for your friendship, your support and for just being there for the last 12 months, Wishing you all a happy, healthy, safe and humorous New Year and may 2008 bring everything you need and much of what you wish for, Aussie PS If anyone is heading our way.please let me know, as it'd be wonderful to meet aome of you guys in person. -- roll call While we are experiencing a quite period, let's do a round of intros again. It's been awhile and I personally would love to hear an update on your alls kids. I'm , married to Tim for 27+ years and mom to four kiddos, mil to two and grandma to one beautiful little angel. My son has DS and a seizure disorder. He currently is 14 years and loves to surf youtube.com. We live in WV. I just got a new laptop that has a builtin web camera.
